Position’s Contributions to Work Group: Logistics Engineer role
Client is seeking a Logistics Engineer in Brooklyn Park, MN. In this role, you will manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure the timely and efficient receipt and delivery of material to activity points along the material flow path. You will perform activities to ensure material is received, stored, or delivered quickly and efficiently to the POU (Point-of-Use).

Typical Day: 6:30am-3:30pm EST
Warehouse storage design & manufacturing point-of-use (POU) design
Machinery & equipment design and procurement
Workforce & equipment planning
Coordinating with engineering, manufacturing operations, and on-site / off-site supply chain functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements
Inventory transfer & rearrangement planning
Maintaining the internal logistics process engineering standards, knowledge, and tools; Assuring their implementation in current and new operations
Evaluating logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process-related concerns

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and/or Mechanical Engineering
1-3 years of relevant engineering experience; internship experience included

Technical Skills: Required:
Experience in Supply Chain / Logistics or Transportation Management
Material distribution & material handling equipment experience
Working understanding of various materials systems and how they interrelate
SAP experience


Soft Skills:
Collaborating: The ability to effectively work with a variety of individuals and leaders in departments including both shop floor and office environments.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: The ability to focus on details to accurately analyze situations to reach productive data-driven decisions and ability to find/correct errors.
Logistics Management: The ability to understand different material flow paths in a manufacturing environment and develop improvements that ensure materials are delivered to the point-of-use when needed.
