Job Description: |
Spherion Staffing is looking for an experienced Maintenance Equipment Technician. The person in this role will be involved in more complex projects with Department Managers and Manufacturing Engineers to improve processes and equipment to continually improve methods of production. You will repair and maintain production equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Pay: $21.39-24.62/hour DOE Schedule: Maintenance hours may fluctuate based on production but is currently staffed 6:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday-Friday
Responsibilities: -Work with Department Managers and Manufacturing Engineers on developing and qualifying new methods to continually improve our production -Report on findings during the evaluation process and suggest alternatives -Create fixtures and testing apparatus for Department Managers and Manufacturing production equipment upkeep and repair -Respond quickly to requests to repair equipment malfunctions -Trouble shoot system faults (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic), repair and re-qualify equipment or processes -Document repairs into computer system -Perform daily preventive maintenance on production equipment, utilizing established procedures and schedules -Troubleshoot system faults that become evident through preventive maintenance procedures -Collaborate with others assigned to perform preventive maintenance -Work closely with Manufacturing Engineer and shift Foreman to monitor equipment for proper functioning -Utilize existing preventive maintenance procedures to avoid equipment down time -Look for ways to improve preventive maintenance procedures and processes -Audit equipment records for proper prints, back up stock, and manual and troubleshooting instructions
-Fabricate metal components using the mill, lathe, and other shop equipment for standard, repetitive, or medium complexity items -Fabricate wood jigs and miscellaneous items using wood crafting equipment, as assigned -Inspect and maintain rail system for safe and proper operation -Modify existing system as directed; assist in installation of new systems -Maintain proper back-up stock
