Position Summary

The Program Manager supports a portfolio of customers with projects and services. This role is responsible for executing and managing projects within the secondary generics pharmaceutical program and will oversee the day-to-day relationship with clients and client programs. This role will also focus on developing and optimizing standard operating procedures (SOPs), driving new initiatives, identifying differentiated solutions for customers, and ensuring efficient project management.

Key Responsibilities

Program/Project Execution

Execute projects within the secondary generics program, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Build comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.

Differentiated Solutions for Customers:

Analyze customer needs and market trends to identify opportunities for differentiated solutions in the secondary generics market.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and promote these solutions to customers.
Monitor customer feedback and market response to refine and enhance differentiated solutions.

New Initiative Development

Proactively identify opportunities for new initiatives and innovative solutions within the secondary generics Rx market.
Lead cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of these initiatives, considering customer needs and market trends.
Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria, and execute project plans for maximum effectiveness.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, sales, marketing, and regulatory affairs teams, to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to understand their needs and align project deliverables accordingly.

SOP Development and Process Optimization

Create and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various aspects of the secondary generics program, ensuring efficient and standardized processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input, identify areas for improvement, and implement SOP updates.
Train and educate team members on new or updated SOPs to ensure compliance and consistency.
Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess process effectiveness and identify areas for optimization.

Minimum Requirements

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, pharmacy, or a related field.

Critical Skills

2+ years client relationship/program management experience, preferably in the secondary market and/or health systems

Demonstrated experience deploying program and relationship management principles and methodologies.
Strong understanding of primary and secondary distributor competitive landscape and dynamics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong critical thinking, analytic, and problem-solving skills
Strong project management skills, with experience in planning, executing, and monitoring projects.
Ability to develop and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and develop data-driven solutions.

Additional Skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion.
Innovative mindset with the ability to identify market trends and develop differentiated solutions for customers.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.

Salary: 55,500.00 - 74,000.00 - 92,500.00 USD Annual

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$55,500 - $92,500
