This position is responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of approved projects.  The project manager ensures projects meet budget, schedule, and scope requirements. 


Responsibilities

Project Manager-Technical 

  1. Serves as a project facilitator/manager and technical resource for teams working on moderate to complex projects. Works autonomously with guidance from leadership to resolve project escalations and major project issues.
  2. Provides leadership to projects in the following areas: governance and planning, action items, schedule, responsibilities, communication management, quality management, risk and issue management, resource management, and scope management. 
  3. Applies appropriate change management methods to promote implementation of change. Facilitates organizational change by helping to prepare personnel to accept and actively participate in new changes, through communication, coaching, and educational workshops.
  4. Provides project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on selected projects through a project tracking system and management/project reviews. Documents the results and value of projects, and submit other documentation as may be required.
  5. Enforces project management standard practices.
  6. Monitors and coordinates all project linkages, dependencies, enablers, and resource utilization.
  7. Ensures the quality and success of the project deliverables and is accountable for managing risks and issues that come up.
  8. Focuses on delivering projects on time, within budget, and within planned scope.
  9. Monitors and coordinates all project related communications. Works with appropriate people/departments to ensure communication to all stakeholders. 
  10. Provides feedback on project learnings and best practices from projects.
  11. Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in a related field.

3 – 5 year’s project management experience.

Healthcare industry experience.

PMI certification preferred.

Lean or Six Sigma experience.

Knowledge of project management best practices and frameworks such as PMI.

Managed implementations of multiple complex projects concurrently.

Basic interpersonal skills necessary to build effective relationships and to adequately explore complex/sensitive situations with executive management, department management, line staff, physicians, and regulatory agencies when planning and evaluating work flows, policies/procedures, and systems, as well as the ability to explain, teach, and present the related issues to these groups.

Computer proficiency with Google and MS Office products.

Self-motivated, well organized, and detail-oriented.
