You Are:
The Portfolio Information Systems Security Engineer Security Controls Assessor will work in the Information Security Portfolio team in the CISO organization. This role is a senior cybersecurity leader supporting the Business Integration team and serving as a principal advisor to the Business Integration Director and portfolio leadership in managing people, processes, and technology capabilities impacting the security of AFS network and applications, and the security, proper access, and retention of AFS and client data.
The Work:
- Act as a primary consultative resource for client delivery teams in solving for security related questions and issues to protect AFS and client data
- Assist with setting direction, priorities, and monitoring compliance with a variety of requirements based on industry best practices, internal controls, federal regulations, contractual obligations, and similar
- Represent the needs of the business for security initiative planning and prioritization, and advocates for better integration between security and business operations for client teams
- Identify and recommend programs or new technologies to mitigate risks and increase overall compliance to federal regulations and contractual requirements
Here's What You Need:
- Bachelors Degree or 8+ years of industry experience
- Experience with IT security, cyber defense, or cyber GRC experience
- Experience with working/collaborating with senior level leadership (manager, senior/principal, or director)
- Expert-level applied knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks in use within the federal government, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Risk Management Framework, and/or associated NIST standards and processes
- Experience and/or advanced practical knowledge of U.S. federal government contracting models and methodology, to include risk assessments, pricing, and staffing
- Strong ability to translate technical/security issues to business users and senior leadership
Bonus Points If:
- Advanced Degree (i.e., Masters or Graduate) in Computer Engineering/Science, Information Technology Management, or Cybersecurity
- 15+ years of industry experience
- Certification or educational equivalent in project management and agile methodology
- Experience in a cybersecurity leadership or decision-making role setting policy and standards within a medium or large organization
- Experience or strong working knowledge of the Defense and/or the Intelligence Community government agencies, as a member of uniformed services, civil servant, executive, or supporting contractor
- Senior level cybersecurity risk management or leadership certification such as CISSP, CISM, CCISO, or GSLC, or equivalent education (i.e., Bachelor's Degree or graduate certificate)
- Experience with engineering IT systems, working knowledge of cloud technologies, and secure system configurations
- Familiarity with Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Microsoft O365, both front-end and back-end
