The Town of Bayfield/the Bayfield Marshal's Office is currently accepting
applications for Deputy Marshal.
The duties include but are not limited to patrol, criminal investigations,
traffic enforcement & related law enforcement activities. Deputies work in
partnership with the community to identify & resolve issues, provide
public safety to the community, maintain peace, safety & order. Deputies
must exercise considerable judgment, initiative, & skills in a variety
of situations & must be able to act without direct supervision in completing

Job Requirements
Candidates must be Must be 21 or over and have a high school diploma or
equivalent. Experience is preferred but not necessary. Must be a US citizen
and be able to obtain a Colorado driver's license by the date of hire.
Colorado POST certification is preferred but not required.
To be considered, the applicant must not have a felony on their record or
any crime of violence, specifically assaults or domestic violence, or any
misdemeanor crime that would affect ability to certify with the Colorado Peace
Officer (POST) board.
