Components Engineer
We are looking for a Components Engineer to join our Exlar team!
As our Components Engineer you will, lead the search and selection of suppliers for a variety of goods ranging from electronics, machining components, bearings and seals, and raw materials. You will Work with cross-functional teams, the Components Engineer will be a key team player in supplier development, supplier quality management, and bid proposals for large contracts/volume purchasing for the Exlar facility.

Your Challenge
Sources, selects, and qualifies a variety of suppliers and components used in the company’s technology.
Investigates alternate component technologies or supplies of moderate scope, reducing cost and improving quality and reliability.
Acts as technical interface between component/production suppliers and development engineers, determining new and alternate sources.
Assist with developing guidelines/procedures on vendor selection.
May evaluate supplier change notification and qualifies changes, as needed.
May maintain component data management system including qualification records/results/documentation.
Ability to travel up to 20% of time.
What You Bring
High School Diploma or equivalent required with relevant technical education or equivalent technical experience.
Minimum 5+ years experience in a Sr level Purchasing, Procurement, Mechanical Engineering, or other transferable field.
Ability to comprehend mechanical drawings and other technical documentation.
Extensive supplier management experience.
A collaborative, solution-focused individual with strong communication skills
