MetroHealth GME Program Assistant-Surgery Admin in CLEVELAND, Ohio

Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Summary:

Conducts day-to-day administrative operations for the Graduate Medical Education Office (GME), and supports the services provided to residents, fellows, rotators, observers, medical students, residency programs, and employees of The MetroHealth System. Executes all administrative processes necessary to maintain The MetroHealth System’s accredited status with various educational, federal, and local accreditation bodies. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required: Associate Degree in Business or another related field. In lieu of degree, 3 years of experience with undergraduate or graduate medical education or other job-related experience will be considered. Notary Public commission, or obtains within 12 months of hire. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong problem solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Displays flexibility and is adaptable to changes in work environment. Available to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or another related field. 5 years of experience with undergraduate or graduate medical education programs.

Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
