Able to prepare products for paint application. Able to stand and prep all parts for extended times throughout the shift. Able to sand and finish the product before painting.
Qualifications
Previous experience in auto body paint preparation is preferred. 1-2 years experience preferred Basic computer knowledge. Experienced with hand tools and sanding devices. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. |

Job Description: |
Position Summary
The essence of the Paint Prep Technician’s role is to prepare all pieces and products for paint while keeping a high-quality standard.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares products by doing light bodywork, sanding, blocking, filing, and priming - Assists Lead Painter in preparing products for paint - Places products for painting on movable platforms - Moves and stages painted products in the drying room - Responsible for overseeing paint and prep material inventory - Keeps work area clean and organized - Communicate ideas and issues in a timely manner. - Ensure high-quality standards. Work in a team-orientated manner. - Inspect refurbished materials, assess conditions, and make recommendations for future improvements.
