About the team:
Billing and Funding within Worldpay has built a pricing and billing engine using big-data tech, we are almost at the end of the first phase of an exciting journey re-engineering our core payments platform to be more cost effective, scalable and cloud ready. The next phase of our journey is a move to the cloud, making our software cloud native, our infrastructure code and using CI/CD to increase our speed of delivery.
What you'll own
You will be responsible for implementing and expanding the Cloud estate within the program, with a focus on compute, networking, storage, observability, reliability and security.
You will be responsible for building, implementing and maintaining, infrastructure as code and tooling with the Cloud
You will create cloud environments and data strategy ensuring interaction with on premise (where applicable), data replication and create CI/CD for faster delivery
You will strive to make our cloud offering as self service, empowering the engineering community to own their infrastructure and software and enable reuse
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and policy of the internal FIS security teams.
You will need to work closely with our software engineers bringing them on the cloud journey with a guiding hand

What you bring
A Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
Experience of building enterprise grade applications on AWS
Knowledge of Functional programming in Java and Data Structure
Solid hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, specifically: IAM, EMR Serverless, Fargate, S3 and CloudWatch
Experience of building applications with embedded CI/CD to ensure frequent and reliable software delivery
Strong understanding around CI/CD practices, principles and fundamentals. i.e. Infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
Excellent communication skills and a desire to impart knowledge.

Worldpay is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $105,070.00 - $176,520.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
