ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

The Electrical Engineer will support requirements development, specification, and test of satellite communications equipment. This position is based in West Long Branch, NJ.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to determine requirements, develop specifications, and ensure the proper test/evaluation of satellite systems.
• Support Failure and Test Review Board (FRB/TRB) activities
• May lead, approve or develop plans/procedures/reports for First Article and Production tests.
• Perform and document technical analysis on proposed systems and products.
• Support Specification and contract Statement of Work development.
• Coordinate with various vendors to ensure their proposed products meet requirements.
• Review vendor proposals and provide technical feedback.
• Participate in the final check-out for new designs.
• Review and approves/disapproves of End of Life (EOL) parts recommendations from vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS - ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

• Bachelor’s degree in a science, technology engineering, or mathematics field.
• Desirable to have experience in Software test and/or development.
• Desirable to have experience with DoD satellite communications systems.
• Desirable to have familiarity with Electronic Technical Manuals (ETMs) and Interactive ETMs (IETMS), Training.
• You have strong organization, analytical, problem solving, time management and communications skills and are detailed oriented. This includes, but is not limited to, the ability to effectively coordinate multiple programs, multitask in team environment, and work with limited supervision.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office is required (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

SECURITY CLEARANCE

• Active DoD Secret clearance

TRAVEL

• Some travel is required
