Required Skills:
Must be a High School student at least 16 years old. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

• Knowledge of general office procedures, computer operations, computer software and applications used to include Microsoft Office, Facebook, Instagram, and Google Suite.
• Experience in 4-H or youth programming highly desired, but not required.

• Ability to work (occasional) evenings and weekends

• Possess valid driver’s license and own means of transportation with required liability insurance, OR make individual arrangements to get to assigned office and programming locations.

• Must be able to stand for 90 minutes at a time and sit for 90 minutes at a time. Some days will require hours of standing and sitting

Job Description:
The position is responsible for completing administrative and project-focused tasks as assigned. The majority of the work done in this position will directly relate to assisting with the planning and execution of 4-H events and programs throughout the length of the position.

• Assist Extension Department Head with communication development and distribution including but not limited to designing graphics, writing social media posts, and newspaper articles.

• Provide assistance preparing for and executing the 4-H county fair showcase.

a) Printing and preparing documents for youth registrations, judges, and awards
b) Preparing and setting up materials for the 4-H food booth
c) Assist setting up for the project showcase, awards ceremony, and performance exhibition

• Assist with the execution of summer programming including day camps and project days.

a) Preparing materials for events and programs
b) Setting up chairs, tables, and other necessary equipment
c) Assisting with all other tasks as assigned

• Assist with organizational tasks around the office including file keeping and inventory.

• All other duties as assigned

This is a 12-week appointment working 15 hours per week. Preferred start day, June 3, 2024.
