Position Overview:As the Senior Organizational Development (OD) Consultant, you will lead the assessment of organizational needs and the design, implementation and evaluation of organization structures and programs that facilitate the development and continuous learning of team members and support the changing business needs. You will partner with a variety of stakeholders, particularly senior leaders, to determine causes for performance gaps and identifies development solutions with the goal of making the company healthy and profitable.
Working with the Director, People Strategy, the HR Leadership team, and business leaders across the organization, you will work to ensure successful, people-centered transformation and bring diverse thinking and new ways of driving change to achieve buy-in and accelerate adoption. You must be strategic in the sense of being able to think broadly with vision and deliver results through formal and informal influence of others, but also tactical in the sense of being able work at an operational level to complete work. The work includes, but is not limited to, assessing leadership alignment, stakeholder assessment, learning needs, communication strategies and end-to-end organizational development efforts. You must be able to advise and influence leadership on analysis, appropriate tactics and initiatives on change and surface related risks to aid decision-making and continued action/progress. As a team player who leads with a growth mindset, you are adept at learning the business, creating internal partnerships, demonstrating empathy, fostering collaboration, and implementing solutions that reinforce organizational culture and inspire employee engagement.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Consulting
Utilize communication skills while serving as a strategic business advisor to senior leaders on a variety of organizational and leadership matters
Provide expert facilitation to ensure organizational performance, team effectiveness, structure/design, governance practices, culture, and other HR processes support achievement of business goals
Monitor and continually improve the effectiveness of OD programs and products to ensure advancement of the organizational strategy and culture
Collaborate with members of the talent function to implement competencies, behaviors, structures, and processes to successfully manage organizational culture
Provides guidance to OD consultants and HR Business Partners
Organizational Design
Demonstrate organizational savviness through your partnerships
Lead organizational design activities streamline and implement new team structures, roles and/ or processes that align with Digi-Key's values
Lead projects focused on building career paths and job frameworks with stakeholders
Conduct assessments and uses data to provide consultation on organizational effectiveness interventions that will close gaps from current to desired future state
Develop solutions for specific organizational and business challenges, aligns stakeholders to objectives and plans to implement strategies
Research and co-design leading edge frameworks, methods, practices, and tools to improve enterprise organizational effectiveness
Change Leadership
Serve as a project team coach and facilitator for supporting change leadership projects regarding complex business and implementation issues
Manage organizational change efforts such as organizational structure, roles and responsibilities, job redesign, job descriptions and skills assessments. Will effectively implement appropriate tools such as stakeholder assessments, change readiness analysis, organizational programs, etc.
Apply overall project management skills to manage initiatives, including scoping, planning, and executing work and achieving benefits realization
This role is not an essential onsite role; it follows the Individual Contributor onsite requirements for DigiKey's Remote and Hybrid Work model. Typical travel is up to 20% of time.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with specialized coursework in HR, I/O Psychology, Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, or related disciplines or equivalent relevant work experience
Master's degree in OD, preferred
A minimum of 9+ years of experience in organization development, change management, or a related field
Experience in DiSC or Hogan Assessments preferred
Certifications in: OD (ODCC/CP); Change (CCMP, CMS, CPCM, Prosci); Coaching (ICF, ICCP, EMCC); HR (PHR, SHRM-CP), preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of OD constructs and corresponding usage of tools related to team building, change mgt., leadership dev and org systems assessment
Experience supporting complex change initiatives- e.g., designing tools, assessing organizational impacts, implementing targeted strategies, and measuring outcomes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence at all levels, including facilitating inclusive meetings of all sizes
Advanced applied knowledge of Performance, Talent, Succession and Engagement strategies, techniques, and systems
Demonstrated knowledge of team and leader assessment methodologies
Demonstrated knowledge of learning program design (skill and competency development)
Tools / Systems / Software:
Full Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams
Physical Requirements:
Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse, and screen
Often traverse between various areas across large facilities
Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
