Director of Maintenance and Field Operations

Oversees Greenville Water's Maintenance and Field Operations departments. Manages, directs, supervises and evaluates four salaried managers who oversee 69 team members.

Facilitates safe, efficient, timely and economical operations through leadership, guidance and coordination with other departments and the public. Responsible for transmission and distribution system repair, rehabilitation, construction, preventative maintenance, tapping and meter set activities.

Ensures the proper maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities, and vehicles; and makes recommendations regarding the purchase of new equipment, vehicles, tools, materials and safety equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor's Degree in engineering technology, construction, business or other relevant field, supplemented by ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and construction of water systems, is required. Must possess and maintain a valid Water Distribution Class A license from South Carolina.
