Experienced Harness Assembler - This position performs a variety of routine and highly repetitive assembly and/or packing operations. <P> Responsibilities and Duties: <LI> Perform pre-assembly and electro-mechanical assembly from individual components and sub-assemblies using detailed verbal or written instructions. <LI> Use a variety of hand tools, simple measuring devices and operate simple machining equipment in an effective and efficient manner. <LI> Inspect work for quality of workmanship. Resolve problems. Recognize errors and correct or seek appropriate assistance. <LI> May give simple work instructions to other Assemblers as requested. <LI> Ensure that acceptable housekeeping practices are followed. <LI> Maintain accurate work records. <LI> Understand and follow applicable Company practices, policies and procedures. <P> Qualifications and Skills: <LI> Prior manufacturing assembly experience desired. <LI> Related work experience with a successful work record desired. <LI> Working knowledge of basic reading and math skills. <LI> Basic knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes. <LI> Versatility in order to perform a variety of operations. <LI> Ability to read and interpret prints, drawings, process sheets and other visual aids. <LI> Ability to resolve problems. <LI> Ability to use hand and power tools. <LI> Ability to use measuring instruments. <LI> Ability to perform work in a quality and timely manner. <P> Physical Demands: (with or without reasonable accommodations) <LI> Bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, stretching, prolonged sitting and/or standing. <LI> Lifting or transporting light to heavy items (up to 50 lbs). <LI> Repetitive motions. <LI> Ability to apply mental processes, in order to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions. <LI> Ability to tolerate fumes, odors and noise. <LI> Visual acuity. Must be able to distinguish full range of colors. <LI> Ability to adapt to change <LI> May require use of microscope. <LI> Simple machine equipment. <P> Major Skills - <LI> Basic reading and Math <LI> Hand Tools <LI> Detail orientation <LI> Communication <P> Requirements - <LI> Drug Screening. <LI> Reference Background Check.
