Job Description

 
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Assist the Site Manager in maintaining facilities,
conduct custodial care and routine maintenance, as well as provide
customer services and support operations year-round. Provide coverage on
designated evenings and weekends, including customer service to troops
and campers, providing site support such as snow removal and responding
to troop and camper\'s issues. Perform janitorial services including
emptying garbage, sweeping and mopping floors, stripping and buffing
floors, and deep cleaning of all interiors. Restock units as needed.
Maintain council buildings and grounds, which includes custodial care,
grounds maintenance, and occasional snow removal. Perform maintenance
services such as painting, landscaping, snow removal, carpentry
appropriate to ability and job scope. Assist with volunteer service
projects to complete annual tasks. Prepare the site for summer camp
programs and events. Be a team player and relate positively to campers,
volunteers, other staff and visitors. Models behavior consistent with
the Mission and purpose of Girl Scouting. Perform other duties as needed
or assigned. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to
work independently, adapt to changing priorities and display good
judgement and decision making. Possess a valid Class D driver license,
compliance with the council\'s policy of automobile insurance limits,
and a driving record that meets the requirements for coverage of the
council\'s business auto insurance carrier. Ability to work flexible
hours to support peak program periods, including some weekends
throughout the year. Ability to respond to camp within 30 minutes on
designated weekends. Possess interpersonal communication skills and a
commitment to customer responsiveness. Ability to safely operate and
maintain power tools and equipment to include: mowers, trimmers, chain
saws, carpentry saws, drills, generators, compressors, power washers and
leaf blowers. Ability to work effectively with staff members and
volunteers from diverse backgrounds. Ability to safely operate, snow
removal equipment, camp vehicles, and trailers with training. Previous
experience with snow removal equipment a plus. Ability to assess
visually the maintenance and janitorial services needed to maintain
desired conditions and meet GSWISE standards. Willingness to subscribe
to the philosophy of the Girl Scout program and enroll as a Girl Scout
member which includes paying a nominal membership fee annually. American
Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification desired at time of employment.
