Job Description:
Ameriprise Financial as an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Human Capital Insights (HCI) Data Manager to join our team! As the Senior HCI Data Manager, you'll have ample opportunity to influence and create solutions impacting our people data strategy and insights at the enterprise level. You'll build a sharp understanding of business strategy in order to clarify and implement a people data roadmap for reporting and analysis in support of HR strategic objectives. You have both technical and consultative skillsets to lead and advise key stakeholders on the creation of analytic products. You will also serve as a subject matter expert for complex queries and data modeling.
How you'll spend your time...

Understand Ameriprise's business and technical environments and assist teams in resolving complex business challenges via current technical solutions by assessing viability, applicability, and cost implication through proofs of concept and prototypes
Partner with the HCI team and various client stakeholders on strategic data deliverables including data structure, integration, aggregation, modeling, reporting, and storage while safeguarding sensitive data
Stay curious and informed on leading practices and system functionality to support advanced analytics and business intelligence
Design and implement solutions to promote agile and sustainable processes
Work together with leaders and key business partners to assess data needs, identify trends, communicate key insights and socialize messages relevant to business needs
Lead strategic management of people data as a core asset; collaborate as needed to build and maintain a robust catalog of data elements including metadata and data nuances
Support HR Centers of Excellence, People Resource Center, and other clients as needed to drive better, faster, and more data-informed decisions at all levels
To be successful in this role, you will have...

Bachelor's degree in a related field
7 to 10 years of experience with data and technology (data architecture, data tools, data modeling, etc.)
*Post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be interchanged to meet the combined total years of minimum required qualifications for education and experience
Demonstrated strong data management and analysis capability as well as a solid understanding of key data constraints and requirements (legal, regulatory, technical) applicable within an HR analytics function serving a global organization (e.g., GDPR, CPRA)
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical solutions clearly to an organization
Experience developing data-driven conclusions and recommended actions
Proven interpersonal skills, including the ability to build strong working relationships across the enterprise and ability to influence decision makers effectively and appropriately
Focus on continuous learning and development of self and others
Demonstrated capability in developing project plans and driving initiatives to successful conclusions
Advanced analytics and modeling experience using syntax-based programming (e.g., R, Python, SQL) and data visualization software (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau)
