Maintenance Tech Wage: Starting at $30.47/hour 1st shift
Maintenance Tech Schedule: 7 am to 3:30 pm (1st shift)

JOB TITLE: Maintenance Tech
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
WORK SCHEDULE: 8 Hour Shift
Essential production duties and responsibilities:
Works in a safe manner and assures co-workers work in a safe manner. Reports safety hazards immediately to appropriate individual. Continues to expand safety awareness by participating in annual safety training programs.
Troubleshoots and repairs production and support equipment experiencing electrical or mechanical problems
Performs electrical/mechanical component replacement, assuring compliance with work order instructions.
Performs preventive maintenance on equipment as directed.
Resolves electrical/mechanical emergency breakdowns on equipment to minimize downtime.
Performs electrical/mechanical installations as directed.
Maintains adequate records of work performed on equipment and corrective action taken.
Displays good work habits that will set good examples for co-workers. Continually monitors and maintains work areas to keep them clean and well organized.
Responsible for compliance with all facility food safety, food defense, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs)/Sanitation policies and procedures. Employee must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of their work area in support of AIB/5’s and other company standards.
Must be supportive of GPI’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values (Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork).
Must be supportive and involved in GPI efforts for LEAN, 5’s, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement programs and processes.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Strives to clearly understand customer requirements and delivers results to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Ability and responsibility to stop any process that is not meeting food safety requirements.

Experience & Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree, technical degree, or similar educational background in industrial, mechanical, or engineering setting preferred but not required.
3+ years previous experience servicing manufacturing equipment or similar required
Previous experience with Bobst, KBA, Masterfold, or other paperboard manufacturing industry equipment is a plus.
