Invasive RAD Technologist
The posted compensation range of $27.70 - $40.17 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Our full range of medical services includes trauma services heart and vascular care emergency services surgery maternity cancer care and diagnostic imaging.
Responsibilities
$15,000 sign-on bonus and $10,000 educational assistance available to external candidates!!
- Assists with pre-procedure education and preparing patient for procedure
- Scrubs and assists physicians during procedures
- Performs monitoring function throughout procedures. Documents information in patient record
- Performs arterial and/or venous sheath removal utilizing deployment of closure devices, manual pressure, or mechanical compression and transport patients
- Performs daily maintenance, quality assurance testing, equipment cleaning, and supply re-stocking
- Effectively communicates and works cooperatively with team members, patients, families, guests, and providers
- On-call rotation may be required and must be able to respond to emergent within 30 minutes of notification
- Participates in all safety, security, and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the department
- Demonstrates work practices consistent with CHI Health and department-specific safety, security, infection control, and HIPAA policies
- Resource floating within the metro area may be required in order to provide staffing support to other campuses
Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology
Licensure & Certifications
- Radiologic Technologist RT(R) credential from the ARRT OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential from CCI. New graduates who are registry eligible may be considered. RT(R) or RCIS credential must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
- Radiology Technologists must possess a Medical Radiographer License in Nebraska and/or a Diagnostic Radiographer Permit in Iowa to practice
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of start date
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of radiographic views and equipment
- Knowledge of EKG rhythms and abnormalities
Knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy
