Description:

  • Responsible for the overall effective management of delinquency levels of an assigned Portfolio of accounts within the 5-91 day aging categories - This involves making of outbound calls and sending letters to delinquent customers as necessary to collect past due amounts - Reconciliation of payment and billing histories and negotiation of payment arrangements daily - Periodically pulls and analyzes credit information from various sources in order to recommend appropriate actions on problem accounts - Handling about 200-250 contracts per day (1 customer could be 25 contracts) - Have the ability to deal with small and large accounts; be able to distinguish the difference - Maintain the relationships of their customers while being stern, yet empathetic

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must haves: - HS diploma - 1+ years of prior consumer or commercial collections experience - Experience managing delinquency levels within an assigned portfolio using outbound calls, letters and use of third-party providers - Experience managing their own collections list (not an automated system) - Experience working a high volume of accounts throughout the month (250 accounts or more) - Skip tracing experience - Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Teams, Word, etc.) Nice to have: - Experience with problem accounts such as repossession, modification where appropriate and/or the transfer of accounts to late-stage collections or the Financial Recovery group - Experience periodically accessing and analyzing credit information from various sources. - Experience with Oracle - Able to learn systems very quickly and ability to apply newly learned knowledge.
