Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Test Engineer with solid Bluetooth knowledge to join us as part of our Frontline Test Services Team, providing world class interoperability and consultancy to Teledyne LeCroy customers.
This position will support our customers in using the industry’s leading-edge technologies and tools. The successful candidate will have the passion and technical aptitude to become a subject matter expert in the field of connectivity technologies, be self-motivated and be able to perform under pressure and deadlines.
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for working with customers to provide detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases to ensure that products are bug free and provide a great customer experience.
In this role, you will be able to grow with us as you work with multiple teams. Also, you will have the ability to take technical specifications and clearly translate them into test requirements. You will be a subject matter expert and will have the ability to continue to grow into new technologies across service offerings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing test plans and procedures
Identifying and documenting test cases and scenarios based on project/customer requirements
Executing test cases and analyzing results to identify defects or issues
Root Cause Analysis of defects substantiated with device logs and Over-the-air Capture Files
Communicating test results and progress to project managers and other stakeholders
Coordinate with internal/external customers to create plans to ensure work, deliverables and delivery dates are clearly defined
Staying updated on industry trends, specifications and best practice
Mentor Team in technical matters
Education, Skills and Experience
BSc/BEng in Engineering or relevant field
Proven experience as a Test Engineer or similar role
2+ years of software experience such as JAVA, C++, or Python
Knowledge of Bluetooth and additional wireless protocols
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred
Experience in wireless interoperability testing
Experience with wireless technologies and specifications
Experience of protocol sniffers and analyzers
Experience with mobile consumer devices and/or automotive infotainment systems
Must be able to travel occasionally
