Job Description

Insight Global is searching for a SQL DBA to manage our client's SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB and Oracle database systems. You will be required to install and maintain database software, create and administer databases including and not limited to -- performance tuning, storage management, backup and recovery, database security, operational and application support. Along with the rest of the database team on rotation database 7x24 on-call support duties. This is a remote role and the ideal candidate will work PST hours.

Required Skills & Experience

- 8 Years experience as a SQL Database Administrator

- Proficient in SQL Server database architecture, coding, and documentation

- Some experience with either Oracle, MySQL or MariaDB

- Experience with SQL, PLSQL, shell scripting.

- Knowledge of database backup procedures, recovery systems.

- Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

- Ability to pass a background

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Certification in SQL Server and/or Oracle database administration

- Experience working in the Azure cloud operational environment

- Experience supporting of non-relational database environments MongoDB or Snowflake
