ALL US CITIZENS DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY: This position is being filled using Direct-Hire Authority (5 CFR 337.201) for this occupation. TOPEKA-First area of consideration will be given to AFGE bargaining unit employees at Topeka VAMC. Second AOC will be given to EKHCS permanent employees. LEAVENWORTH - First area of consideration will be given to NFFE bargaining unit employees at Leavenworth VAMC. Second AOC will be given to EKHCS permanent employees.
The Program Support Assistant is assigned to the office of Deputy Chief of Staff (Med/Surg & Diagnostics), Leavenworth Division, and is responsible for a variety of daily operations and tasks in support of operations with Primary Care, Acute Care, Surgery & Diagnostics (Lab & Radiology) section of the Leavenworth division of the VA Eastern Kansas Health Care System.

This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave. Such credit must be requested and approved prior to the appointment date and is not guaranteed.
