Our client, a Plastics Manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join their rapidly growing team in Chicago, IL! We are looking for someone with Industrial Manufacturing experience, and strong Maintenance skills!

Pay Range: $88 - 96K

What’s the Job?

Our client is looking for a passionate and results-oriented Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing team! In this role, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines by overseeing maintenance activities, leading your team, and driving continuous improvement.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee and plan maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and equipment modifications.

  • Collaborate with production and scheduling to ensure timely equipment repairs and minimize downtime.

  • Lead a team of technicians by providing hands-on troubleshooting, training, and mentorship.

  • Foster a safe work environment through regular inspections, safety training, and enforcing safety protocols.

  • Analyze maintenance data and identify opportunities to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and production efficiency.

  • Manage spare parts inventory, prepare purchase requisitions, and collaborate with vendors as needed.

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing practices to optimize processes and reduce waste.

  • Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.

  • Plan and coordinate equipment installations and removals.

  • Recommend and coordinate safety and technical training for your team.

  • Serve as the Maintenance Manager's backup during their absence.

What you bring:

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field or technical school certification (preferred).

  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment.

  • At least one year of experience leading/supervising in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment (a plus).

  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge a plus.
