| Required Skills: | Performs manual labor and heavy lifting under all weather conditions.
• Assists full time employees in various maintenance and repair tasks (may include, but not limited to: mowing, clipping, trimming, planting, cleaning, painting, operating equipment, traffic control, street patching, shoveling, filling, miscellaneous errands) in the Public Works department.
• Operates various motorized and non-motorized equipment.
• Drives City vehicle to various job sites.
Valid MN driver’s license.
Some knowledge of the tools, materials and equipment used in general maintenance work.
Some knowledge of safety precautions.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to handle stressful situations.
Be at least 17 years of age. |
