Job Description Summary
Responsible for managing the internal/external processes in an efficient and accurate manner. Key person to motivate and lead the warehouse personnel in a positive manner using established goals and objectives as directed. Manage and control storage, handling and on-time shipping accuracy of all materials. Is responsible for building and equipment maintenance, along with facility and yard shuttle management. Key person for managing inventory control in both warehouses. Management of P/L expenses for all operations. Timely and accurate completion of specific projects as directed. Varied presentations and meeting attendance at customer's corporate offices.
Job Description

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Warehouse / Inventory

A. Ensure the warehouse environment is clean, organized, productive and presentable at ALL times

B. Monitor overall cost controls

C. Handle all inventory control issues promptly and manage cycle counts regularly

D. Insure all process documentation and discipline to process and procedures

E. Identify/Implement/Measure cost reduction and efficiency increasing opportunities (in all the above areas)

F. Assist warehouse in any daily decision making

G. Monitor associates' productivity and overtime (complete evaluations)

2. Personnel

A. Motivate all warehouse/inventory associates, focusing on efficiencies and accuracy

B. Perform annual reviews and coach/develop associates in their individual objectives

C. Monitor all subordinates' attendance records

D. Lead other associates in their individual objectives

E. Continually direct all associates to improve processes

F. Oversee training of associates

G. Discipline resolution

3. Safety

A. Perform monthly safety meetings and training

B. Develop safety processes to meet OSHA/EPA/HAZMAT requirements

C. Ensure the facility environment is safe

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES:

A. Accurate and timely completion of specific projects as determined by Operations Manager

B. Oversee facility management

C. Meet/Exceed Objectives - safety, costs, on-time shipments, cycle counting/inventory accuracy, etc.

D. Interact and maintain a positive relationship with the customer

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

Education: a 4 year degree is preferred A minimum of 3 years' experience in a management/supervisory role within the field of logistics Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Must be able to lift 55 lbs. on occasion. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to climb flights of stairs. Requires normal range of hearing and vision to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate hand tools and industrial machinery such as a truck or fork-lift. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
