Job Description
Supervise, with good scanning, all patrons located in and around pool during your shift to minimize hazards and create safe and pleasant aquatic environment. 
Qualifications
Current Red Cross certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/ AED. Those certified in WSI may have additional opportunities to teach swimming lessons.

Responsibilities
  • Enforce all rules and policies from Health Department, Syracuse University, and Recreation Services.
  • Maintain accurate required pool records.
  • Document all incidents, accidents and observed problems and notify the appropriate full-time staff as needed.
  • Follow all departmental policies with regard to attire, recording, studying, eating, and any others that apply.
  • Maintain required certifications through term of employment.
  • Attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings that are scheduled.
Physical Requirements
Strong swimming skills.
