A PCB Layout Designer will assist engineers in the design and development of complex, detailed layouts of printed circuit boards. In this position, the Layout Designer will be responsible for creating multilayer high-density printed circuit board designs using PCB Layout Tools, per Electrical and Mechanical Engineering input. The fabrication drawing package will be created per IPC and/or Mil spec. Requirements Essential Role and Responsibilities: Performs detailed layout design and documentation of printed circuit boards. Produces two-dimensional (2D) CAD work product output for fabrication and assembly. Works from schematics, net lists, part lists, and basic description of the board function, constraints, configuration, and arrangement as defined by engineering. Checks drawings versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standard engineering drafting practices and standards. Create electronic library symbols, geometry, footprints etc. Work with system management including file maintenance, backup and storage. Qualifications and Education Requirements: BS in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline or a minimum of five years experience preferred. Signal Integrity analysis experience helpful. Experience working with Allegro preferred. Language Skills: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
