About the Job



Responsibilities:
Duties include participating in the design and implementation of collaborative research studies; generating, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data; assisting with manuscript and grant preparation; and maintaining scientific logs and records.

70% Research: Various experimental approaches involving small animals; flow cytometry; tissue culture; protein and RNA/DNA analyses; immunohistology; isolation and analysis of leukocytes and other cells/tissues from humans and animals; reagent generation; collaborations with others.
20% Lab managerial duties: Training lab personnel, lab maintenance, animal maintenance, overseeing logs, miscellaneous duties.
10% Computer-based data entry and analyses; data recording; oral and written data presentations.

Qualifications



Required Qualifications:
PhD degree or an equivalent degree by start date and have a research background in leukocyte biology, immunology, cancer biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related fields. Experience working with small animals (mice), flow cytometry, and molecular/cell biology. Strong communication and writing skills are necessary.
Experience is desired in the use of cell culture, protein and RNA/DNA analyses/manipulations, tumor models, cell signaling processes, manuscript/grant preparation, and statistical data analyses.
