Advertising Copy | Associate Medical Director of Comprehensive Pain Program The Robert Larner, MD, College of Medicine at the University of Vermont and The University of Vermont Medical Center are seeking a full-time faculty family or internal medicine physician at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level on the clinical scholar pathway to join an enthusiastic team of professionals at The University of Vermont Medical Center. UVMMC is a 400-bed university-based general hospital and is the principal teaching site for residents and medical students at The Robert Larner, MD, College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. The successful candidate will be a family or internal medicine physician whose focus will be to provide medical services in the context of an award winning, integrative program in management of chronic pain. This program offers a combination of modern medicine with evidence-based complementary and integrative therapies. It offers the qualified candidate the opportunity to work with a team offering holistic care of the individual. This position is a leadership position working in partnership with the Medical Director of the Comprehensive Pain Program. The selected candidate will demonstrate the training and expertise to provide direct patient care, collaborate with other professional disciplines, and work with referring agencies and providers. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for supervision and teaching of house officers, medical students, and other staff. An appreciation of the importance of and satisfaction from performing these critical functions and an ability to work collaboratively are essential. Applicants must have a medical degree and be board certified (preferably) or board eligible in Family or Internal Medicine. A minimum of three years of clinical experience post-residency is preferred. Burlington, Vermont is located in the beautiful Lake Champlain region, surrounded by the Green and Adirondack Mountains.
