POSITION SUMMARY:  

The shipping & Receiving clerk is responsible for receiving, selecting, packing, shipping and/or distributing and putting away warehouse inventory. The shipping and receiving clerk will complete paperwork for domestic and international shipments as well as work closely with the customer service team. In addition to these duties this position will occasionally assist with the production of materials as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Unload trucks, check vendor packing list with items received and verify accuracy of items with purchase orders and receive incoming material into ERP system.
•    Note items received, order discrepancies and damage on packing list. Inform quality control of damaged materials when received.
•    Place stock items in appropriate bin location and move nonstock items to shipping staging area.
•    Prepare orders for shipment via UPS/Fed EX, or LTL Freight via shipping solutions, pull items from storage locations and staging area, palletize as necessary, attach shipping labels, prepare bills of lading, contact carrier for pick up and load trucks for domestic and international shipments. 
•    Enter all shipped orders and create invoices in ERP system daily.
•    Complete pick tickets. 
•    Maintain shipping/receiving department records, equipment, and supplies.
•    Collaborate with purchasing team to order shipping supplies as needed.
•    Inspect customer returned goods for accuracy and condition. Report damaged returns to quality control team.
•    Perform inventory duties as required.
•    Assist in production as needed to include operating slitter machine.
•    Collaborate with Customer Service personnel to facilitate order processing and answer any questions pertaining to shipping/receiving functions.
•    Complete certifications requested by customers and inform quality control that they are ready to be reviewed before sending to customer with orders.
•    Handle waste including Hazmat. 
•    Utilizes Forklift as needed.
•    Adhere to all facility safety and health requirements.

•    Maintain focus on continuous improvement by making process improvement recommendations to supervision.
•    All other duties as needed.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma (or GED) required.


Experience:
•    Minimum of two years warehouse experience including picking, packing, and shipping.
•    Minimum 2 years of experience with ERP System
•    Inventory control system experience.
•    UPS and Fed Ex shipping experience
•    Knowledge of International shipping documentation
•    Knowledge of Shipping Solutions or similar program
•    Computer experience required with knowledge of Microsoft office programs. 
•    High level of accuracy and attention to detail
•    Good Problem solving, Multi-tasking and Teamwork skills.
•    Good decision-making skills
•    Excellent Interpersonal and Organizational skills
•    Excellent Manual Dexterity required.
•    Good oral and written communication skills are required.
•    Ability to operate power equipment.

Compensation Information:

Hourly: $23.50-$26.00 depending on candidate experience.
