We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our team as a Research Specialist in the Emory National Primate Research Center (EPC) Genomics Core. Our group provides next generation sequencing services for scientists at EPC and the Emory Vaccine Center, in addition to the wider Emory and external research community. We currently support disease etiology and vaccine development research in a variety of infectious disease systems, including SARS-CoV-2. The successful candidate will receive training in a broad array of techniques such as the preparation of RNAseq libraries, single cell sequencing via droplet capture on the 10X Genomics platform, use of advanced liquid handling robotics, and sequencing on the Illumina MiSeq and NovaSeq6000 systems. Prior educational background in biology, immunology or molecular biology is required and previous lab experience, particularly in molecular biology or NGS techniques, would be a plus.
