Position Details | Reporting to the Associate Director of Financial Planning, the Budget Analyst will support the development, implementation, and management of the University’s operating budget. Responsibilities include:
This position is a hybrid position with on-campus and remote work schedules. All positions may require on campus meetings. Remote work is only considered for residents of MA, VT, NH, ME, CT, RI, or NY. (Relocation assistance to CT is available for those who qualify). |
Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree with relevant coursework in fiscal management, accounting, business, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. Relevant student project and/or internship experience will be considered. Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and pivot tables, and ability to organize and analyze data. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work with, synthesize, and summarize complex data. Detail oriented with ability to maintain data accuracy. Strict adherence in maintaining confidentiality. Self-starting, flexible and responsive; able to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships. Demonstrated commitment to working within a diverse environment and collaborating with individuals of diverse backgrounds. |
Preferred Qualifications | Prior experience in Higher Education environment. Two years’ experience in budgeting. |
