QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in adult education or a related field from a
regionally accredited institution.
Minimum of two (2) years' experience teaching high school equivalency
preparation (such as GED or Hiset) or in a similar setting.
Strong technological skills and experience in using the MS Office suite,
Zoom, and Learning Management Systems.
Strong ability to communicate and interact with culturally diverse and at-risk
populations.
Willingness to cross-train for other teacher positions in the GED/ESL program.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in adult education or related field, from a regionally
accredited institution.
Bilingual in Spanish or Somali.
Adult Basic Education Authorization (ABEA) from the Colorado Department of
Education (CDE) or willingness to obtain it within three (3) years of hire.
Extensive experience teaching in various modalities (in-person, hybrid,
& remote) to diverse student populations.
Demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion.
