Physics and Engineering Adjunct Faculty

Job Summary



Teach course(s) in Engineering and/or Physics in keeping with candidate's specialization and departmental need





Responsibilities



Teach (and possibly design) Engineering/Physics course(s) and/or labs on an assigned topic, with support from the department
For courses, draw up a syllabus and maintain a course Moodle page
For labs associated with courses taught by other faculty, manuals, equipment, and supplies will be provided by the department
Teach the course or lab in person, grade assignments and tests, and support students as needed to promote their learning
Contribute to an academic environment that actively seeks to increase inclusive excellence in the department and in the discipline






Skills



Ability and interest in teaching undergraduate students in a face-to-face environment
Ability to explain complex concepts in Engineering or Physics






Experience



College teaching experience preferred





Education



Master's degree in Engineering or Physics required; PhD preferred
