Role overview
This high-visibility, high-volume, fast-paced position will be responsible for all aspects of quoting and estimating customer part processing finish needs, working within the Sales Team. This includes assessing processing capabilities, material and labor costs, equipment and tooling requirements, risk, and any additional expenses related to the quote/project. This position will collaborate with customer service, sales, production, manufacturing engineers, and finance. The Estimator will be the main contact person for customers needing assistance with quotes, and questions regarding estimates.
The Aerospace Estimator will have a critical role in ensuring that quotes and projects are financially viable and that estimates align with the company's objectives and profitability goals.

Salary range based upon the required profile: $72,000 - $85,000.
Your responsibilities & challenges
Primary responsibility responding to customer RFQs.
Utilize data from various company resources to ensure quote accuracy, such as PowerBI, SyteLine, Part History Search Tool, Senior Leadership, Value Stream Managers and Subject Matter Experts.
Learn and understand Hytek's process capabilities and niche market.
Strong attention to detail in reviewing technical drawings, processing specifications, and other relevant documents to ensure accurate cost assessments.
Assist in daily manual pricing and billing for outgoing invoices in a timely manner.
Manage incoming quotes group email box daily.
Work strategically and proficient in the ability to identify high value, profitable business opportunities.
Educate customers regarding quote and billing requirements as well as processes and procedures that directly affect customers pricing.
Participate in annual price reviews, audits, and other duties as assigned.
Develop professional relationships with internal and external customers to encourage trust and brand loyalty.
Understanding of ITAR compliance and proper handling of ITAR related documents.

Your boarding pass/qualifications
BA/BS degree in related field of study or equivalent experience.
3+ years' experience in Customer Service, Sales, Engineering, or Finishing Industry. Would consider internships as previous experience.
Must have the ability to read and understand engineering documents (drawings, specifications, blueprints, etc.), aerospace industry preferred.
Strong computer skills using MS Office products as well as ERP system experience is desired, Syteline and PowerBI experience preferred.
Leadership training is a plus.
Must be able authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Essential Mental/Physical Demands
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods. Extensive use of hands in writing, computer, and other office equipment. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. on an occasional basis. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
