Work Schedule
  • %100 FTE
  • HYBRID – ON SITE ONCE PER WEEK AND AS BUSINESS NEEDS REQUIRE

  • Remote/Hybrid opportunity (Work requires flexibility to travel between UW Medicine entities within the Seattle/King County area)

  • Your key interfaces for this position are senior executives (e.g. UW Medicine Dean and CEO entity CEOs, President Hospital and Clinics, Chief Strategy Officer)


  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    The Strategy Division leads strategy development, business development, service delivery planning and execution for UW Medicine, inclusive of Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center and in collaboration with integrated partners such as Fred Hutch Cancer Center, Valley Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital.


    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leads and oversees the processes for developing and implementing strategic plans, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting the achievement of our long-term goals
  •   Partners with Strategic Analytics and Strategic Portfolio and Project management to ensure the processes are integrated and appropriate KPIs are deployed to measure effectiveness of strategic initiatives
  • Support efforts for service line planning, business cases, assessments and partnerships evaluations
  • Analyze financial and operational data to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of current strategies
  • Leads and oversees the processes for developing and implementing strategic plans for the sys
  • Supports the annual strategic planning process and ensures operation plans align with key strategic metrics, strategic investments and effort
  •   Develops an approach to assessing business problems in complete and through method while leveraging both internal and external business intelligence


  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Health Administration (MHA), or related field of study
  • 10-12 years of demonstrated success/results in a consulting capacity (e.g., having overseen and executed multiple consulting projects, previous consulting experience)
  • At least 5 years leading system or entity specific strategic plans from formulation to implementation
  • Previous work in a strategic consulting firm
  • Strength in data-based decision making, analysis, influence and storytelling
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills across various stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, employees and teams to work toward deploying a different future state
  • High levels of competency with: PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and strategic planning tools/concepts
  • Must have the ability to respond creatively to changing healthcare marketplace and improve the value of healthcare delivery in a market competitive environment
  • Experience may substitute for educational requirements
