Job Description:
Need 4 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers to work with livestock in Freeport, MN.
From: 03/25/2024 to 01/15/2025
Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as weather or other unpredictable variables that impact the farm’s operation.
All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Attend to live animals including bovid; Perform duties related to livestock reproduction such as weaning and helping with animal births; Hand raise offspring; Weigh (on scales); Catch animals and herd to enclosures; Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to detect symptoms or abnormality after birth and through the early-stage development; Clean stalls, pens, yards, equipment using hand tools and disinfectants; Feed and water animals; Maintain grounds such as removing trees, operating tractor for weed control.
Work includes exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, and repetitive movements.
Employer may, at the company's sole discretion, pay workers an hourly rate above the minimum required and/or offer a bonus to any seasonal worker employed pursuant to this job order depending on how many years of experience they have obtained by working for the employer or other factors such as work performance, skill, punctuality, licensing, training, prior work experience, etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate non-CDL driver's license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. No minimum education required.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
