Job Summary
Drexel College of Medicine, Department of Microbiology & Immunology, invites applications for a laboratory technician to join Dr. Eugenia Lo lab and the Malaria team at Drexel.
Essential Functions
Dr. Lo's laboratory centers on molecular epidemiology, host-parasite interactions, and evolutionary genomics, with the goal of yielding a deeper understanding of human infectious disease and improving the diagnosis and treatment of infections.
The laboratory technician will help manage sample inventory, maintain lab equipment/supplies/regents, and contribute to the scientific research by performing experiments and collecting data. S/He may also provide support to the lab by coordinating tasks, training new personnel, and maintaining general laboratory protocol.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree Biology, related field or .
Minimum of a year of experience with research experience.
Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment is a must.

Additional Information
This position is classified as Non Exempt, grade F. Compensation for this grade ranges from $14.20 to $21.15 per hour. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
