• Strong understanding of advertising industry terminology and jargon
• Excellent command over English language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Attention to detail for identifying errors in text, layout, and design
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of standard proofreading marks and notations
• Familiarity with different style guides such as APA, MLA, and Chicago
• Proficiency in using software tools for proofreading and editing
• Strong communication skills for clear and concise feedback to writers and designers
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Advertising or a related field
• Previous experience in proofreading, preferably within the advertising industry
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Willingness to keep up-to-date with changes in language and industry trends.
