9 Full Time Seasonal H-2A Jobs available 05/15/2024 - 12/04/2024. Plant, cultivate, and harvest tobacco. Use hand tools such as, but not limited to shovels, hoes, knives, hatchets, spears, hammers, and ladders. Duties may include but are not limited to, preparing soil, applying fertilizers, work in greenhouse, transplanting, weeding. hoeing, topping and applying sucker control, suckering, cutting. picking up cut tobacco, spearing, loading and unloading wagons, hanging tobacco, standing at considerable height hanging lathe in sheds and taking cured tobacco down in shed, strip and bundle leaves. pack tobacco, and handling of bundled tobacco onto trucks. May set up, operate, and repair machinery, and farm buildings. Also may participate in irrigation. Some tasks may require extensive stooping, or lifting of up to 50 lbs. Work is usually performed outdoors, sometimes during very hot, cold or wet weather. One month experience required in work listed.
