To support the fast-growing demand for Building Code consultancy services, we are looking for a talented, ambitious, and experienced Building Surveyor to join the team to lead and deliver on a strong pipeline of advisory work for their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Directors and Managers with delivering services within timeframes, cost and quality.
  • Source your own clients and identify opportunities for new business market or clients.
  • Assist the development of fee proposals and liaise with clients to identify the project scope and client needs.
  • Provide a proactive approach to project delivery and client communication
  • Review, assess and provide recommendations of various stages of developments including out of scope works, on-site assessments and reporting - This will include representing our organisation at site visits and client meetings. 
  • Manage your workflow and work output within client deadlines.
  • Achieve a minimum monthly invoicing target.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

  • Advice and interpretation of the Access provisions of the Building Regulations and other associated documents including the Disability (Access to Premises – Building) Standards 2010 and Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport (DSAPT), Asset Standards Authority Accessibility Standards for Rail Infrastructure.
  • Advice relating to Universal Design and DDA
  • Advice and interpretation of the Livable Housing Design Standards
  • Assistance in the application of Access Regulations to project design and development.
  • Participation in negotiations with Building Regulatory Authorities.
  • Appraisal and assessment of Development Approval conditions.
