| Job Description: |
Twin City Staffing can help you take the next steps in your manufacturing career! We’re currently seeking several plasma operators to load, cut, and inspect materials. This plasma operator job is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing team right in Little Canada!
Location: Little Canada, MN
Wage: $19/hr.
Hours:
5 am – 3 pm, Monday – Thursday
7 am - 7 pm, Friday - Sunday

Duties of the plasma operator:
Load equipment with product using the overhead crane
Measure material before and after cutting to ensure compliance with customer specifications
Prepare equipment to cut material by downloading or programming the computer according to customer specifications
Complete inspection reports after inspecting and measuring the material
Make adjustments to the cutting process in order to comply with customers' quality requirements
Remove materials using the overhead crane from the burn table after cutting and handles it according to router instructions
Package material for shipping when needed
Perform preventive maintenance as needed including (but not limited to) wiping down torches and equipment
Wear approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, etc.
Requirements of the plasma operator:
1+ years of previous burn table work experience
Read and understand measuring tools and equipment such as a tape measure, calipers and micrometer
Operate overhead cranes and forklifts
Perform math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of fractions as well as convert fractions to decimals or vice versa
Recognize and interpret colors according to the company’s classification system
Lift and move up to 75 lbs., as well as lift and move heavier objects with the assistance of cranes, forklifts, or another employee
