Job Description:
Need 2 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworker / Laborers to work in Herman, MN.
From: 04/03/2024 to 11/13/2024
Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon. - Sat. 8 hrs./day
Work in Minnesota will be paid overtime in accordance with Minnesota Statute 177, specifically 177.25 Subdivision 1 and/or 177.23 Subdivision 7(2) and handled in accordance with the Safe and Sick time effective January 1, 2024.
Employer may pay worker more depending on how many years of experience he/she has obtained by working for the employer or other factors such as job performance, skill, punctuality.

JOB DUTIES: Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers to load carts and trailers; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate 4WD articulated tractors, tractor-drawn machinery such as field cultivator to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as corn, soybeans, sugar beets; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Regulate conditions; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures.
Employer may request but cannot require worker to work on their Sabbath. The nature of farm work may require worker to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as weather or other unpredictable variables that impact the farm’s operation. Work includes exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, and repetitive movements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate non-CDL driver's license and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. No minimum education required.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $55.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
