About the College of Design, Architecture, Art, & Planning

The College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for the position of Program Coordinator in the Student Affairs office.

DAAP is a world class college at one of the region's premier universities. Reporting to Student Affairs, the Program Coordinator provides critical office support by serving as the face of the college office, assisting students, faculty, staff, and the general public with inquiries, and navigating university processes.

Job Overview

The position requires strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Forms; student information system; SAP; Concur); excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment; the ability to handle work distractions; and the ability to be successful as part of a team. The person in this position will need to learn new tasks quickly, manage their time efficiently, respect issues of confidentiality, and pay attention to details.

Type of Appointment: Full-time, benefits eligible
Work Location: 5470 Aronoff (Clifton/Uptown Campus West)
Work Hours: Monday through Friday between 8AM and 4:30PM

Essential Functions


Welcome visitors and serve as the first point of contact for the college with students, staff, faculty, and the general public; respond to inquiries (written, in-person, telephone)
Maintain calendars and schedule appointments for the Dean's Office staff, especially the Student Affairs team and others as requested
Provide administrative support to the Dean's Office, including mailings, making copies, phone calls, business transaction processing, compile data, processing advisor associations, etc.
Manage the operations of the office, including maintaining and ordering supplies, keeping the common spaces tidy and clean, sorting and distributing mail, and coordinating cleaning and shredding events
Schedule rooms, meetings, appointments; prepare agendas and other documents for distribution at meetings and events; take minutes as needed
Manage the document retention process, both online imaging and physical files for the Dean's Office, Student Affairs, Faculty Affairs, and Business Office
Process admission applications and confirmations for undergraduate transition and readmission students; process applications for certificates and minors; data entry into the student information system with appropriate information
Manage DAAP email accounts (e.g. admissions, advising)
Coordinate the course equivalency process
Compile information for the Student Affairs e-newsletter
Develop and maintain office procedures and practices as needed
Manage hiring process for student workers and graduate assistants
Manage timekeeping process for the college
Assist with visa processing
Serve as a departmental liaison with other offices and departments at the university as needed
May order classes
May manage the Dean's Office student workers
Perform related duties based on departmental need

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related area with one (1) year experience; -OR- Associates degree with three (3) years' experience; -OR- five (5) years of experience. Experience must be in high-level administrative support or related field.

Required Education


Bachelor's Degree.
Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

One (1) year of program coordination experience.
