Position Purpose:
The Pro Sales Representative Manager is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing sales team of Pro Sales Representatives focused on driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building strong relationships with B2B customers. This role ensures the team executes sales strategies aligned with Pro goals, manages a strong sales pipeline, and converts leads into profitable sales. The Pro Sales Representative Manager coaches, trains, and mentors the Pro Sales Representative team by fostering a results-driven culture while maintaining accountability for an assigned customer portfolio. This role requires understanding of competitive industry trends, proactive pipeline management, and strong cross-functional collaboration to support The Home Depot’s Pro growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development 40%
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of Pro Sales Representatives
- Provide hands-on coaching, training, and mentorship in sales management and relationship building strategies
- Foster a results oriented and customer focused culture that drives engagement and performance
- Provide regular and timely performance feedback in order to improve and maintain team performance metrics
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management 30%
- Oversee and support Pro Sales Representatives in identifying new sales opportunities
- Provide solutions and guidance to direct reports for customer resolution
- Serve as point of escalation for transaction and take partnership cross-functionally to ensure customer satisfaction
- Partner with Pro Sales Representative Sr. Manager to review sales calls, analyze account insights, and identify business opportunities.
Operational Excellence 30%
- Track and analyze key performance metrics, including sales, gross margin, and customer engagement
- Troubleshoot operational challenges, identify process improvements, and coordinate training for direct reports
- Oversee daily team operations, including workload distribution and ensuring service level quality
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This position reports to the Pro Sales Representative, Sr. Manager
- This positions has 10-14 direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- 4 years of professional work experience
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional work experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop sales associates
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience in B2B sales or account management
- Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM
- Ability to analyze sales data and implement strategies to improve team performance
- Understanding and application of strategic planning to identify, target and execute plans for sales growth in areas like building supplies, construction, and lumber

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
