Job Description:
F&B Attendant. Cote Family Companies Inc. d/b/a Grand View Lodge, Spa & Golf Resort (Nisswa, MN). 5 openings. Temporary, F/T job from 05/27/2024 – 10/31/2024. Min. 35 hrs/week. Shifts: 6am-2pm, 9am-5pm, 3pm-11pm. (5 rotating days including weekends).

Duties: Give guests menus and show them to their seat. Handle phone calls, take reservations and put guests on a wait list if needed. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment and abides by all local, state, and federal laws. Maintain knowledge of menus, wine lists, and liquor provided to guests. Assist in setting restaurant for service, or closing the restaurant properly. Bus tables, and follow up with drink refills and other guest service requests. May work in multiple outlets on property.

Requirements: HS diploma/GED or equivalent. No experience required. Ability to work flexible hours, ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally, ability to stand, walk (6-7 hours at a time), and climb stairs, reach & bend. Pre-employment Criminal Background Check and Pre-employment Drug Test is required.

Rate of Pay: $12.79 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Overtime is available at $19.19 per hour. Eligible for multiple benefits including three free meals provided daily (during shift or not), discount cards to be used throughout the entire resort (retail, restaurants, spa, rentals, etc.), free transportation offered multiple times a week to town, free onsite gym and pool usage (Sunday – Thursday, during open hours), access to beach amenities, free onsite laundry, free bicycle rental for the summer season, and access to a full kitchen in the employee housing community center. A single work week will be used to compute wages. Wages paid bi-weekly by direct deposit. Employer will reimburse H-2B worker in 1st pay period for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, & other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees). Air transport to place of employment will be provided at no cost to worker (air travel paid upfront); Ground expenses & subsistence costs will be reimbursed to worker during 1st pay period. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.46 day during travel to a max $59.00/day w/receipts. If worker does not complete at least 1/2 of employment period worker is expected to refund employer. Return transport will be provided if worker completes employment period or is dismissed early. Employer will provide at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform job. Employer guarantees to offer work for hrs equal to at least 3/4 of workdays in each 12-week period of total employment.

Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. Housing includes AC in each unit, free laundry, free wifi, utilities and meals. Cost of housing, if accepted, is approximately $140.00 per month. If used, total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck. A weekly $10.00 refundable security deposit will be deducted from paycheck. All deductions from worker’s paycheck required by law will be made. Bicycles provided for daily transportation to worksite, shuttles provided for bad weather.
