The Financial Aid Counselor (Counselor, Senior (E S 7)) for the UW School of Law plays a crucial role in assisting law students with the financial aspects of their education and supporting admission. This position acts as the primary contact in guiding students through the financial aid application process, evaluating eligibility, assigning scholarships, and providing information on available financial aid programs. The counselor collaborates with student fiscal services and other departments to ensure compliance with regulations and policies and works to create a supportive and inclusive environment for students seeking financial assistance. In addition, with be the expert in UW Student Database system for financial aid and admissions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Aid Advising and Outreach: 50% Award Management: 20% Data Support, Compliance and Data Reporting: 10% Outreach and Education: 10% Customer Service: 5% Collaboration: 5% MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Application Process: The application process may include completion of a variety of online assessments to obtain additional information that will be used in the evaluation process.
