Job Description

Employee will be expected to provide ORCHARD LABORER services that may include but are not limited to: • Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables, fruits such as apples, pears, and cherries and organic vegetables • Dig, cut, and transplant seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs • Dig, rake, and screen soil in preparation for planting • Tilling soil and applying fertilizers • Transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops • Applying pesticides • Cleaning, grading, sorting, packing, and loading harvested products • Construct trellises, repair fences and farm buildings, or participate in irrigation activities • Clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping • Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives • There are few typical days employees may be required to change duties and/or locations and engage in various general functions • Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions.  

Housing is provided.  Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence is also offered.  Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers, from employer-provided housing and, if applicable, centralized pick-up points to the places of employment at the beginning of each workday and back at the end of each work day.
