Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work as a team member.
• Possess the ability to communicate clearly with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand: walk: use hands to finger, handle, or feel: reach with hands and arms: talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit: climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and must occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Our growing company is in search for new talent for the role of Feed Production Technician.

Summary: Performs basic level feed production tasks and assists advanced production technicians.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.
• Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.
• Select and weigh hand add ingredients to match the mixing schedule.
• Assist with finished feed load outs.
• Assist in the operation of the bagging machine.
• Housekeeping.
• Assist with routine machine maintenance, inspections and repairs.
• Alert supervisor of abnormal equipment operation (unusual noises, odors, or heat emissions).
• Assist Maintenance Technician when required.
• Assist at bulk feed ingredient receiving pit or grain dump pit when required.
• Operate control panel and feed load out.
• Monitor micro bin system and tote rack inventory on a “keep full” basis.
• Train on control panel, pellet machine, and feed load out.
• Complete all reports as required by Supervisor.
• Comply with FDA’s Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP standards, and New Vision policies and procedures.
• Accept additional responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.
